crochet doll with fox ears standing next toa piano, a rocking horse and a nice painting

Sharing is caring!

Here is a pretty unique crochet fox doll from the imaginary town, called Granny Square. She is a nice addition to any doll lovers along with the other Berry Girls.

Pin it now, make it later!

When I was a child I literally loved Strawberry Shortcake and her friends. I had dolls, colouring books, magazines. When my children were born, we started to watch the cartoons. I fell in love with them again. I just love the idea of a place, where many girls with different characteristics can live in peace and friendship. When lockdown came in 2020 the idea of  The Berry girls got into my head. I made some drawings and tried to crochet them, but I had no success. My idea of the girls was a bit different back then, than how they are now and I just didn’t like them. When finally I gave up on that design I started on this one. I have to tell I am really happy with the finished product.

The story of Apricot, the Fox Berry Girl:

There is a little town, where all Zita and Bunny creations live in peace and harmony. This town is called Granny Square. In Granny Square, lived four girls, who were best friends. One of them is Apricot, the fox girl. Apricot loves adventures. Her favourite thing to do is, being outside where she can run and jump with her animal friends. She adores nature and always surrounds herself with flowers. She and the other cheeky creatures of Granny Square made a rainbow slide where they can play all day.

Caution!

Please be very cautious when you make toys for babies or children under the age of 3. If you sew parts on it, make sure they are secure and safe.

I recommend, to embroider the eyes, as the plastic safety eyes can be dangerous. My tutorial for embroidery eyes can be found here

All Zita and Bunny designs are original.

Sales of the finished items are encouraged, provided they are handmade by yourself in a limited number, but please give credit to the designer. No mass production.
