Easy and quick cute crochet lamb pattern.

I always wanted to crochet a lamb, but although crochet is my life, there are certain things I don’t like to do and one of those is the bubble stitch. Now who has seen a crochet lamb without bubble stitch? Nah. Not really. So I was thinking hard and long how to get away with a lamb, without bubble stitch, when finally the idea of the beret hat hit me. I got so happy and got on the project straight away, and even though this is a very easy pattern, it took me 7 month to finish it.  Somehow I just always found something else to do and my lack of confidence, creating something different than a usual lamb held me back. When finally I finished it, I loved it from top to toe.

Now all I had to do was to name her. That process was way quicker and easier than the planning and the making one. April is my favourite month of the year. The first warm sunshine, the beautiful cherry blossoms, the smell of the earth after a quick warm rain, and also the fact that many little animals born in April, including lambs make it a beautiful month. My son was born in April on a day, which was very special for me since the day I was born.

The story of April, the lamb:

April is a quiet, caring little lamb, who loves to play with her friends and siblings. Even though she is shy, when she plays she can get very loud. When she doesn’t play, she loves to check cake recipes and to bake with her mum. Her favourite is the lemon curd cake, which needs to be made at least once a week. April loves to share her cakes with her friends.

Caution!

Please be very cautious when you make toys for babies or children under the age of 3. If you sew parts on it, make sure they are secure and safe.

I recommend, to embroider the eyes, as the plastic safety eyes can be dangerous. My tutorial for embroidery eyes can be found here
